Weight Problems Destroy UFC Fight Night Card
The events leading to UFC Vegas 107 were consumed by weight-related failures and their associated consequences between competitors. Four fights were cancelled prior to weigh-in due to varios issues and withdrawals, and the scales seemed to only exacerbate problems. Maycee Barber look very ordinary missing weight by 1.5 lbs for the main event fight with Erin Blanchfield. Allan Nascimento missed weight for his feature prelim bout against fellow Brazilian, Jafel Filho, by 2.5 lbs for their flyweight bout, and the women’s 135 lb bantamweight bout got moved to tthe 145 lb featherweight limit after Ketlen Vieira failed to make weight for her fight with Macy Chiasson. To add insult to injury, the anticipated Andreas Gustafsson vs Trevin Giles welterweight fight was cancelled just before weigh-ins after Giles “hit his head” during the weight cut.Main Event: Erin Blanfield vs Maycee Barber
Erin Blanchfield was already favorite for this fight against Barber before Barber looked very poor missing weight. Since weigh-in the odds have been smashed in and there is now zero value backing Blanchfield head to head.
Blanchfield is 7-1-0 in the UFC up against a weakened Barber who is 9-2-0. Seven of Barber’s last eight fights have gone to the judges, so given the torrid weight cut and miss, it is impossible to see her finding a finish against the formidable Blanchfield.
Blanchfield has won five of her last 11 fights inside the distance, the majority by submission. But a weakened Barber might give Blanchfield an opportunity to win her first in five years by KO.
We are getting plus money for the fight to not go the distance with Kirgo Sports for Erin Blanchfield to win by KO or submission.

Co Main Event: Mateus Gamrot vs Ľudovít Klein
The dangerous Eastern Block combat fighters go head-to-head in the Co-Main Event with Poland’s Mateus Gamrot up against Slovakia’s Ľudovít Klein. Gamrot’s last fight was a split decision loss to now lightweight champion Dan Hooker, while Klein is hunting a lightweight ranking, having not lost any of his last seven UFC fights, albeit one fight went to a draw and he has gone to the judges in all but one of those matches.
Online sportsbook Kirgo Sports has the No.7-ranked Gmarot a -161 favourite to win this matchup, with Klein priced at +121 head-to-head.
This fight is a “dog-or-” situation, so if you can’t make an argument for the Slovakian to beat Gamrot, just watch on.
Ramiz Brahimaj vs Billy Ray Goff
This unranked welterweight bout sees 32-year-old Brahimaj, who is 3-3-0 in the UFC, up against 26-year-old Contender Series graduate Goff, who is 1-1 in his two UFC fights. Unless you’ve been asleep at the keyboard, younger fighters have a huge edge in UFC matchups, albeit the younger Goff has only fought twice in three years.
Online sportsbook Kirgo Sports has installed Goff as the -455 favourite to win, while the elder Brahimaj has been quoted at +295.
This is one of those opportunities to practice patience, as there is just no clear edge, and we’re getting no value about the younger fighter. If you must bet, then Goff to win in Round 3 at +780 is worth a dart for a small amount.
